Our Catholic parish priests are available for weddings at St. Francis by the Sea, beach weddings, outdoor weddings or for non-traditional local venues.


St. Francis by the Sea, a parish of the Diocese of American Catholic Communities, can offer you solutions since it has more flexible marriage canons and less restrictive wedding guidelines than do Roman Catholic parishes. St. Francis provides an alternative for couples who would otherwise be compelled to settle for a ceremony that would not be in accord with their Catholic tradition. Each priest assigned to St. Francis has been ordained to the sacramental priesthood considered valid by the Roman Catholic Church and, of course, legal in the State of California.


St. Francis by the Sea invites couples from all destinations to experience a joyful wedding at our beautiful and historic Cathedral.
